An Asian Classic - Strictly You Style
We had to include this modern twist on the classic San Choi Bow because it's one of Sonia's all-time faves! So quick to make, truly finger licking good, and beautifully light in your tummy. What's not to love?
2 Tbsp uncooked Brown Rice
1/4 medium Fresh Onion
1/2 Fresh Carrot
1 medium Fresh Celery Stick
1 tsp of Coconut Oil
1 medium Garlic Clove
125g of Turkey MInce
25g of drained Water Chestnuts
2 tsp of Soy Sauce
2 tsp of Hoisin Sauce
100g of Iceburg Lettuce
Cook rice in salted boiling water.
Dice onion, carrot & celery.
Add coconut oil to hot pan.
Fry onion & garlic for 1 min.
Add mince & seal until brown - approx. 5 mins. Drain water chestnuts & add to pan.
Add carrot, celery, soy sauce & hoisin. Cook for a further 10 - 15 minutes.
Peel large outside leaves of lettuce to use as cups for the mince.
Serve with rice on the side & season to taste.
